Tunis / Tunisia – The “Tourism Up” program, dedicated to more than 200 professionals working in hotel units in the governorates of Tozeur and Kébili, will start in mid-July, the project team announced during a meeting. press in Tozeur.
Funded by the United States Embassy in Tunisia, the 18-month “Tourism Up” program will be supervised by the Médias Animation Jeunes (AMAJ) association, said project director Wassim Ben Moussa.
Tourism Up seeks to involve the various tourism stakeholders in order to improve the quality of services in order to meet the needs of national, national and international customers.
The first phase of the project will include four tourist accommodation units in Tozeur and Kebili.
It offers training and targeted activities aimed at improving the quality of hotel services, Ben Moussa said, adding that the quality of hotel services has declined over the past decade.
The second phase concerns the training of trainers (ToT), in particular for managers of hotel units. At the end of the training, a guide to tourist services for the benefit of the Kébili and Tozeur hotel units will be published.
An online platform dedicated to the project will be launched in January 2022 to promote tourist, cultural and sporting events organized in the two governorates.
