The carpooling company Grab deployed a hotel reservation function on its application on Monday. In conjunction with online booking platforms Agoda and, the feature allows users to compare prices before making a reservation.

Ichmeralda Alti Rachman, Head of Food and New Business Marketing at Grab Indonesia, said that the company saw the need to offer travelers the “best service”, especially as the number of local and foreign tourists increased every year and tourism contributed significantly to the Indonesian economy.

“The ‘Hotel’ service offers travelers various advantages, including a loyalty program and O2O miles [Online to Offline] platform, discounts on lounges and restaurants at several airports in Southeast Asia and exclusive airport pick-up services from Grab Indonesia and the Philippines, ”Ichmeralda said, adding that the service hotel reservations targeted young executives and families who travel frequently.
